A card is a container for related information, usually showing different media in one card. Such as images, social icons, call to action and text. They are often shown together with other cards that carry other information, allowing the user to get an overview of different themes. By clicking the card, the user commonly gets to see more information. As cards are flexible, they are useful across different screen sizes. Cards have visual depth, meaning they are distinctly above the background, usually with a different colour than the background and visible border. This pattern is often used for dashboards.
